Winnable Tournaments for Weekend Anglers
We produce Capture the Flag an inshore, multi-species tournament which runs from Memorial Weekend thru July 4th. This tournament is designed to introduce anglers and their kids to the fun and excitement of tournament fishing for coastal species such as Barracuda, Bonito, Calico, Halibut, White Sea Bass and Yellowtail. You can tune in to our Leaderboard while Capture the Flag is underway from Memorial Weekend thru July 4th and see the fish to beat. In '06 we had 5 lead changes on the final weekend!

Afishinado's Capture the Flag is a unique six week event designed for 'Weekend Anglers'. The object of the 'game' is to Capture the fish Flag from the current leaders by catching a bigger Barracuda, Bonito, Calico, Halibut, White Sea Bass or Yellowtail. Every angler that 'ups' the Leaderboard fish will get a Sponsor Prize raffle ticket. Our Leaderboard will list the current flag holders for each species. Anglers holding the six flags when the tournament ends on July 4th are the $1000 flag winners, and the angler with the heaviest set of the six species wins the Slam Award valued at $2500. New in '07 We have added the Berkley Excellence Award. If any of the adult winners in Capture the Flag have captured their winner using Berkley Line and Bait, they will win a Berkley Rod and AbuGarcia Reel in addition to the $1000 cash prize. In our new Junior Division kids compete with other kids for great prizes. We use the child's age to handicap the kids so that the young ones are on a level playing field with the older kids. Flag winners will get an AVET MX Reel and other prizes. The Mini Slam Award winner will get a $500 shopping spree. We have also added a new Parent-Child Top Team Award of $1000 from California Offshore Marine. All parents who also enter a child into Capture the Flag will qualify for this award. Afishinado is available for tournament fishing out of Southern California and Cabo San Lucas. We have the boats, the gear and the expertise to put you into the money tournaments with a solid chance of winning. We are currently booked for the Catalina Classic and for the Los Cabos Offshore.
